CISF - Central Industrial Security Force

The Central Industrial Security Force (केंद्रीय औद्योगिक सुरक्षा बल, in Hindi) is one of country's largest armed security forces which came into existence in 1969. The force was started with the strength of 3,000 officers and constables. Since then the strength has grown by many folds.

CISF functions directly under the federal Ministry of Home Affairs (India). It is also the largest industrial security force in the world. The organization is headquartered in New Delhi.

CISF provides security to some of the major Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs) of India and works in sectors like airports, ports, atomic power plants, oil fields, space establishments and some major government buildings and heritage sites.

Apart from security, CISF also offers consultancy services to some big private players and other government organizations.
