What is the full form of IRDP ?

IRDP - Integrated Rural Development Programme

The Integrated Rural Development Programme is the government of India initiative which aims at providing self-employment to the poor, living in rural parts of the country. The scheme is active in the country since 1980.

IRDP targets mainly the families of identified target groups below the poverty line. Assistance is given in the form of subsidy and loan.

The scheme is funded equally by state and centre on a 50:50 basis.
