What is the Full Form of VoIP ?

VoIP - Voice over Internet Protocol

Voice over Internet Protocol is an IP based voice communication technology that offers real-time, two-way voice communication over an existing data network. The network may be internet or a large intranet.

VoIP allows telephonic calls (long distance calls) to be made over a computer network. It converts analog audio signals into digital form which can be transmitted over a data network like internet. The technology offers a substantial cost saving option against the traditional long distance telephone calls.

VoIP is growing at a faster rate and accepted as a better method of communication especially in the sales-oriented jobs. It is replacing the conventional telephone systems due to its low installation and operational cost.
