What is the Full Form of DIB ?

DIB - Device Independent Bitmap

The Device Independent Bitmap is a device independent file format that allows bitmaps to be moved from one device to another. An alternative to Device Independent Bitmap format is the Bitmap (BMP) file format.

There are two varieties of DIBs:

1. A bottom-up DIB, in which the origin lies at the lower-left corner.
2. A top-down DIB, in which the origin lies at the upper-left corner.
