What is the Full Form of NEET ?

NEET - National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test


Through National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET), class 12th qualified students can get admission in almost all medical colleges in India, including private medical colleges. NEET is conducted separately for Under Graduate and Post Graduate Courses.

For admission to Under Graduate Courses the examination is called NEET-UG
while, for Post Graduate Courses the examination is called NEET-PG

Eligibility Criteria NEET-UG

FOR ALL INDIA QUOTA SEATS

  • Age of 17 years and has qualified the SSC Exam at the time of admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS course.
  • The upper age limit is  25 years for General Quota. It can be relaxed by a period of 5 years for the candidates of SC/ST/OBC.


FOR STATE QUOTA SEATS

  • Age of 17 years and has qualified the SSC Exam at the time of admission to the 1st year MBBS/BDS course
  • Rest Depends on the State.
