NET - National Eligibility Test

National Eligibility Test is the national level entrance test, specially for Post-Graduates who either want to make their career in teaching or wish to pursue Ph.D in India. The exam is conducted in many subjects including : Computer Science and application, Social Science, Forensic Science and Environmental Science.

Who Conducts National Eligibility Test (NET)
University Grants Commission (UGC) is responsible for conducting through out India. The first eligibility test was held in 1989 and since then it is conducted twice every year. The UGC-CSIR NET for other science subjects is conducted by Council of scientific and industrial Research (CSIR) jointly with UGC.
