Laguna Choclococha, Peru - Choclococha Lagoon , is a Peruvian high Andean tidal pond , situated between the regions of St Nick Ana and Pilpichaca of the territories of Castrovirreyna and Huaytara , in the division of Huancavelica . It is the wellspring of the Pampas and Ica streams . "The name of Choclococha emerged, as per Murúa (1946: lib. 4 cap. XV) in a fight between the huancas and the huamanes, the huancas were crushed, who in their hurried flight tossed their heaps of corn into the tidal pond, called previously Acha. In the accompanying summer an over the top intensity evaporated the tidal pond, and the seeds sprouted delivering delicate corn.
