What is the Full Form of SNR ?

SNR - Signal-to-Noise Ratio

The “Signal-to-Noise Ratio” as the name suggests, is the ratio of the signal strength relative to the background noise. It is usually measured in decibels (dB). The high value of SNR indicates the better quality of the signal and vice versa.

The quality of a signal could easily be calculated with the help of SNR. It becomes really important to know the value of SNR in radio, cellular or wireless devices, where the quality of the sent data is hugely affected by 'noise'.

SNR = Average Signal power/Average Noise Power
